Returning to Work

If you have been injured in an accident, then it can often be tempting to rush back to work. The sick pay that you get might be less than your normal salary and you could be struggling to pay the bills and so despite what the doctor says you may go back.
This is perfectly understandable but it could make things a lot worse. The injury could be slower to heal or even get worse and you might have to take even more time off. You could pick up illnesses from other people and it could effect you more because you are not fully recovered. Therefore it can be a good idea to consider making a compensation claim.
You can do this if the accident was not your fault. You can ask the person who caused the accident to pay you compensation for the injury and also pay any costs the injury has caused which would include loss of wages. This can make a great deal of difference and will mean that you will not have to rush back to work too early and do yourself more harm than good.
So if you are struggling financially and your injury was caused by someone else, it could be worth talking to a solicitor to find out whether you could make a claim and how much money you might be able to get. You could be surprised at how easy it could be and how much money you could get. You should be able to have enough money to get you back in to the financial position you were before the accident so that you can make a fresh start. Hopefully you will be able to recover fully before you have to worry about going back to work and you will not make yourself worse.
